F. CITY MANAGER REPORT
City Manager Gassaway gave a status update on waste management and the garbage workers strike. He shared that there are 4 locations in Fairfield where residents can drop off household garbage (only what you normally put in your trash can) and those sites will now have security 24/7, coordinated by the City and Republic Services. He thanked Public Works staff for cleaning up the trash sites, which is very hard work. He reported that garbage pickup service will be starting up again with relief drivers on a limited basis on July 16. He said residents with proof of residency can also take their garbage to Potrero Landfill.

He said he hopes that the dispute between Republic Services and the Teamster's Union will be resolved soon and that the strike will end, with regular garbage pickup back in full gear. But in the meantime, limited service will resume. Critical businesses like NorthBay Hospital, Travis Air Force Base, and commercial businesses will be given priority. He stated that the City of Fairfield has notified Republic Services that they are in breach of their
