My husband and I are against this project for the following reasons:
-no oversight or security offered for Housing First residents, nor accountability for change of destructive behaviors of said residents.
-no protection of businesses impacted by this project (destructive behaviors) -no protection for businesses, home owners, and renters from Housing First residents or vice versa. An adversarial situational attitude of residents and businesses already exists! How are those at Housing First protected from this attitude? How is the community surrounding this project protected from Housing First residents? -strong potential of businesses being severely impacted to the point of closing or leaving the area.
If safe guards were in place to protect all involved, we would be much more supportive of this project.
