Subject: N Texas St Home Key Housing Ordinance Vote
Dear Madam Mayor,
I am writing as a concerned resident regarding the proposed ordinance change that would allow Home Key housing development on North Texas Street in Fairfield.
While I respect and understand the intention to address housing insecurity within our community, I must respectfully urge the Council to reconsider this action and vote against the proposed change. There are several pressing concerns that I believe warrant greater consideration before moving forward with this decision.
First and foremost, North Texas Street is already a heavily trafficked corridor, serving as an essential route for local businesses, schools, and families. Introducing Home Key housing project in this area may further exacerbate congestion, raise extreme Safety concerns force residents and business to reconsider this area for business and shopping. And strain existing business.

2 Moreover, there has been insufficient outreach and transparent communication with the immediate neighborhood affected by this proposal. Many residents feel their voices have not been adequately heard or considered in the planning process. This lack of engagement undermines community trust and fosters uncertainty about how the project will impact businesses.
In closing, I strongly encourage the Council to re-evaluate the implications of this ordinance change. Our city’s future depends on collaborative, transparent, and responsible development. I urge you to vote “No” on the proposed ordinance.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Donelle Kucala
A Concerned Fairfield Resident
