Dear Council Members,
I am strongly opposed to a homeless hotel that houses persons with mental/ behavioral problems and registered sex offenders. It’s atrocious that some members of our city council are voting for this. This is a PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE. I am almost certain the council members voting for this would not want this in their backyard. Perhaps, they should test it out literally next door to their residences. We have a right to safety and security in our city. We pay taxes for this. There are businesses and apartments right next to this proposed site. There is also an elementary school and high school within slightly over a mile away in either direction. This is extremely dangerous for the citizens/children of Fairfield. Also, businesses will eventually leave if this passes. In my career, I have seen firsthand what happens with most of these individuals. That’s not to say I’m not sympathetic. But there are mental health facilities for a reason. This would be a mental health facility/ behavioral problem facility/open air drug den under the guise of “homeless housing.”
Thank you,

2 Rolling Hills Homeowner, Chris Y.
