Hi Billie,
Thank you for reaching out about the motel conversion.
I appreciate hearing from citizens. Your ideas and direction matters.

Mayor Moy I am the owner resident of 3797 Poppy Hills Court in Fairfield. I am opposed to the conversion of the Sure Stay Motel to housing for the clientele being proposed as occupants. If this conversion was for low income individuals and families who are homeless, or on the verge of homelessness, I would be completely and totally in favor of that conversion. However, you have selected to put people who are mentally ill, those addicted to drugs and registered sex offenders in a neighborhood in close proximity to families with children. I believe wholeheartedly that the businesses nearby will suffer economically and the quality of life in our neighborhoods is at risk I ask that you and the other members of the City Council not allow this project to go forward.
