Hi Fairfield City Clerk's Office - I'm forwarding you my email I sent to Fairfield City Council in strong opposition for the Vista Ridge/Surestay project. Unfortunately I am out of town on business and unable to attend tonight's town hall meeting to discuss the matter. I'm very concerned for our community that is already struggling with crime, homelessness, and open-air drug use. Zoning was approved without broad community consent and I'm very disappointed in Fairfield leadership for approving that zoning change before they even heard from Fairfield residents. Pam and Cat stuck up for our community on the last council meeting on July 15th (Thank you both!), but the other leaders did not. It's oddly suspicious why they would blindly approve this measure against residents' wishes and against their own Mayor and Vice Mayor. Are there kickbacks or other financial gains here for council members??? This new housing is not even specifically for Fairfield homeless and will bring nearly 100 other sexual predators and drug addicted homless to one of the nicest parts of Fairfield. I urge the Council to NOT APPROVE this as we don't have the means to manage this project at a city level and no benefit to Fairfield residents. This will be a huge mess and liability for the city moving forward, and for what benefit??

REQUESTING TO PLEASE HAVE THIS ON RECORD AHEAD OF TONIGHT'S CITY COUNCIL MEETING.

Thanks,

Zack Firestone
Fairfield Resident

Hello - I'm writing to you all as I'm out of town for work and unable to attend tonight's City Council Meeting. This is Zack Firestone, Fairfield resident living less than a mile from proposed project site.

2 I strongly oppose this project and ask you to please reconsider and NOT approve this . Fairfield was just recognized as the top wine region and our Paradise neighborhood is among the nicest parts of Fairfield, including our renowned golf course. Texas Roadhouse is a huge draw to the area and I'm confident patrons will be negatively affected by this project. This project is not a fit for our community and will further exacerbate the current homelessness and drug issues already rampant up and down North Texas Street. Police drive by and do nothing to contain existing homelessness and drug use in the wide open. Take a drive today and see for yourself the massive issues we already have and need to work throughout the area. I'm frequently in Raley's while staff attempts to remove homeless folks stealing liquor and other goods.

It's your #1 job as City Council to protect our community and residents who PAY TAXES AND VOTE. I speak for the vast majority of residents who strongly oppose this project that will directly contribute to more crime, drugs, and huge amounts of litter and feces already impacting our neighborhood.

If this project passes under your leadership, I will make it my personal mission to organize and advocate against your re-election in any capacity through every means I have.

I love my neighborhood, and this is not the place for this project!

Sincerely,

Zack Firestone
