Dear Mayor Moy,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing as a concerned resident of Paradise Valley neighborhood regarding the proposed supportive housing development for individuals experiencing homelessness.

While I deeply respect the city’s efforts to address homelessness and provide compassionate solutions, I believe that the location and implementation of such projects should involve meaningful community input. The proposed development raises significant concerns among residents, including impacts on neighborhood safety, property values, and the adequacy of local infrastructure to support such a facility.

Given the gravity of this issue and its potential long-term effects on our community, I respectfully urge your office to allow citizens to vote on this proposal. A public referendum would ensure that the voices of those most directly affected are heard and considered in

2 the decision-making process.

We all share a desire to see homelessness addressed humanely and effectively. However, the approach must also reflect the values and concerns of the broader community. I trust that you will consider this request seriously and advocate for a transparent, democratic process.

Thank you for your time and service to our city.

Sincerely,
Leila G. Devine
