Hi Jessica,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the rezoning 4 of the council members approved.

The actual project will go before the Planning Commission before it is finalized. We don’t have a date yet of that action.

Please stay engaged.

Thank you again for letting us know your position on the rezoning.

Faithfully Leading Fairfield,

Catherine “Cat” Moy

Dear Mayor Moy, Vice Mayor Bertani, and Members of the City Council,

I am writing to express my disappointment in the Council’s decision to move forward with the recent zoning change. Whether or not the Vista Ridge Apartments are ultimately built, this change will have significant and lasting impacts on North Texas Street and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The discussion around Vista Ridge Apartments is another tier of frustration. The lack of genuine engagement with residents leaves many of us feeling that our voices were not considered in a matter that directly affects our community’s safety, character, and quality of life.

2 I urge you to take this feedback seriously and consider the broader consequences of this decision, not just for potential future developments, but for the precedent it sets in how major zoning changes are handled in our city.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,
