RESOLUTION NO. 2025-178
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE AS-A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH TYLER TECHNOLOGIES, INC. TO RENEW FINANCIAL, HUMAN RESOURCES, PERMITTING,
AND LICENSING SOFTWARE
WHEREAS, in September 2020, the City of Fairfield entered into a five-year Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc. to implement the Tyler Munis Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the EnerGov Land Management System (LMS) for p ermitting and licensing services, as part of the City’s “Fairfield Fast Forward” modernization initiative; and
WHEREAS, these systems were selected to streamline and centralize the City’s financial, permitting, and licensing processes and have since suppo rted improvements in service delivery, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance; and
WHEREAS, the initial five-year term of the agreement ends on September 8, 2025, and the City seeks to amend the agreement to renew for a 5-year term to continue leveraging the Munis and EnerGov platforms for ongoing service and support; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding in the amount of $3, 239,525 is available in Computer Fund 522, Projects CITMUNI001 and OITTYMRP, to support ongoing services and support.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes an amendment to the Technology Software as-a-Service Agreement with Tyler Technologies , Inc. to provide Munis and EnerGov Land Management System (LMS), Permitting and Licensing software, in an amount not to exceed $3,239,525 which is budgeted in the Computer Fund 522, Projects CITMUNI001 and OITTYMRP.
Section 2. The council hereby authorizes the city manager or designee to take all steps necessary or useful to implement this resolution.
