CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-185
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LSA ASSOCIATES INC., TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TO SUPPORT NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT REVALIDATION FOR THE JEPSON PARKWAY PHASE 2B-2C
WHEREAS, the City intends to use grant funding administered by the Federal Highway Administration to construct Vanden Road – Segment 19 (Jepson Parkway Phase 2C); and
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Administration requires the City to revalidate Vanden Road’s Environmental Impact Statement per the National Environmental Policy Act in order to utilize the grant funding; and
WHEREAS, the City requires technical services of an environmental consultation firm to conduct studies and prepare required documents necessary to complete the revalidation; and
WHEREAS, LSA Associates , Inc. is an environmental consultation firm that completed the environmental impact assessment for Vanden Road and surrounding developments and has the necessary subject matter expertise necessary to complete the revalidation and has been selected to provide professional environmental services for the revalidation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield that certain agreement with LSA Associates for an amount not-to-exceed $300,000 to provide professional environmental services to revalidate Jepson Parkway Phase 2B -2C’s National Environmental Policy Act requirements.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned agreement.
