CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-188
AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD’S UPDATED FEDERAL TRANSIT
ADMINISTRATION DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield receives Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds directly from FTA and from other public agencies, including the California Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, recipients of FTA funds are required to implement a drug and alcohol testing program that complies with specific criteria; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield has recently updated its FTA Drug and Alcohol Policy in accordance with the most current requirements; and
WHEREAS, recipients of FTA funds are required to have the governing board formally adopt the drug and alcohol policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield the updated FTA Drug and Alcohol Policy.
