CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-193
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH PROBOLSKY RESEARCH AND WILLIAM BERRY CAMPAIGNS
FOR CONSULTING SERVICES TO ASSIST WITH PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT, COMMUNITY OUTREACH
AND MESSAGING FOR POTENTIAL BALLOT MEASURES FOR THE TRANSACTION AND USE TAX (SALES TAX) RATE INCREASE
WHEREAS, on May 6, 2025, City Council meeting, the council directed staff to engage a consulting firm to lead and assist with the public engagement , community outreach and messaging for development of educational materials; and
WHEREAS, on May 27, 2025, staff issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) and received five qualified responses; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that a consultant will cost up to $ 167,500 depending on the public engagement and education materials and efforts required. This will be funded from unallocated fund balance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manage is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield the agreement for consulting services to assist with public engagement, community outreach and messaging materials for a potential Transaction and Use Tax (Sales Tax) Rate increase measures to be pla ced on the June 2026 or November 2026 ballot with Probolsky Research and William Berry Campaigns for.
Section 2. The city manager or authorized designee is hereby authorized to execute contract for an amount not to exceed $167,500.
Section 3. The city ma nager or authorized designee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned contract.
