CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-195
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A CLAIM WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION
COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT AND STATE TRANSIT ASSISTANCE FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), (Public Utility Code 99200 et seq .) provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Funds of the County of Solano for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of transit and/or streets and roads; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, and pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder (21 Cal. Adm. Code 6600 et seq. ), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC); and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield is an eligible claimant for TDA and State Transit Assistance Fund (STAF) funds pursuant to Public Utilities Code (PUC) Sections 99260, 99400, and 99310 as attested by the City of Fairfield's opinion of counsel; and
WHEREAS, TDA and STAF funds will be claimed in fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026 for transit and/or streets and roads.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized to execute and file a combined TDA and STAF claim together with all necessary supporting documents, with MTC for allocation and/or disbursement of TDA and STAF funds for FY 2025-2026.
Section 2. A certified copy of this resolution will be transmitted to MTC in conjunction with the filing of the claim, and MTC will be requested to grant the allocations of funds as specified herein.
