RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adopt resolution.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
City staff reviews the calendar of meeting dates for the upcoming year to determine if any of the first and third Tuesday meetings conflict with holidays or vacation breaks. Any meeting dates that have conflicts may be canceled in advance.
DISCUSSION
Following a review of the 2026 calendar for upcoming City Council meetings, it is recommended that January 6, October 6, and November 3, 2026, meetin gs be canceled. Council agenda distribution for the first meeting in January occurs during the Christmas/ New Year holiday week.
The first meeting in October is traditionally canceled to allow for a vacation break and National Night Out. The first meeting in November is canceled due to Election Day. Additional council meetings may be called as the need arises, and standard noticing procedures would be followed at that time.
