RESOLUTION NO. 2025-236
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE FUNDING
AGREEMENT (TRANSIT AND INTERCITY RAIL CAPITAL PROGRAM) BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FAIRFIELD AND SOLANO TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR THE TRAVIS SAFE ROUTES TO
SCHOOL AND TRANSIT TRAIL PROJECT
WHEREAS, on January 16, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution 2024-05 authorizing the city manager to execute a funding agreement with Solano Transportation Authority (STA) for $2,000,000 in Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) funding); and
WHEREAS, funding allocation s were $600,000 for Pla ns, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E), $50,000 for Right-of-Way (R/W) and $900,000 for Construction; and
WHEREAS, amendment No. 1 will reallocate funding from PS&E and R/W phases to the construction phase, resulting in $2,000,000 being allocated for construction; and
WHEREAS, funding sources must be reallocated in the approved fiscal year (FY) 202 5-2026 Budget for the Travis Safe Route s to School and Transit Trail Project (CPW070107) design and construction, thus requiring a $1,100,000 budget reallocation of Regional Grants from design to construction and $1,100,000 of Infrastructure Public Works Deposits (Deposits 285) from construction to design.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Funding Agreement Between the City and STA for the Travis Safe Route s to School and Transit Trail Project, which is in form approved by the city attorney.
Section 2. The public works director is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned agreement.
