CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-250
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FAIRFIELD AND WEST YOST ASSOCIATES FOR THE WATER UTILITY MASTER PLAN AND RATES
STUDY PROJECT
WHEREAS, on December 6, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No.2022-323, approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with West Yost Associates (West Yost) to complete the Water Utility Master Plan and Rates Study Project; and
WHEREAS, West Yost conducted a comprehensive analysis of the assets and asset performance within the City’s water system and provided support for updating Chapter 22 of the Fairfield Municipal Code.; and
WHEREAS, certain components of the asset analysis required additional labor hours beyond the original estimates and although West Yost was able to absorb most of the unforeseen costs, an additional $10,163 is needed to cover the final project costs and to close out the project; and
WHEREAS as a result, a contract amendment (Amendment No. 1) is needed to cover final project costs and close out the Water Utility Master Plan and Rates Study project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield Amendment No. 1 to the PSA between the City of Fairfield and West Yost, increasing the authorization amount by $10,163 for a total amount not to exceed $1,010,163.
Section 2. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned contract and amendments.
