RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adopt resolution.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
The City desires to amend the agreement with Tablet Command, Inc to extend the term.
DISCUSSION
The Fire Department uses Tablet Command as an incident and tactical command software built on a mobile platform, allowing incident commanders to tap and drag (using their cell phones and tablets) the responding apparatus onto an emergency scene, track progress against critical checklists, and timestamp every maneuver and benchmark throughout an incident.
Tablet Command helps Incident Commanders to track all resources responding to a scene, including mutual aid resources that are responding from outside the City. The City’s Fire Department has successfully used the software and desires to continue to do so with a 26-month extension of the current agreement, which expired October 31, 2025, through Decem ber 31, 2027.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total amount for the amended agreement shall not exceed $109,049.38 (10155100), which covers ongoing licensing, hosting, support, and training costs over the next 26 months. The
amount includes a contingency of $10,000 for unanticipated expenses that may arise during the term. The term of this agreement will be extended to December 31, 2027.
