CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-05
ADOPT CITY-SPONSORED SPECIAL EVENTS FOR THE 2026 CALENDAR YEAR
WHEREAS, Section 12A.4 of the Fairfield Municipal Code provides that the City Council may designate additional City-sponsored events; and
WHEREAS, City-sponsored events shall require the event organizer to submit a complete application in compliance with Section 12.A.6; and
WHEREAS, City-sponsored events shall be exempt from paying the Special Event Permit application fees; and
WHEREAS, designating additional City-sponsored events does not exempt an event from other legal and regulatory requirements , including but not limited to encroachment permits, building permit requirements, or any requirement for a fire permit; and
WHEREAS, all City-sponsored events for the 2026 calendar year are in the attached Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The events listed on Exhibit A to this resolution shall be adopted as City-sponsored activities for the 2026 calendar year.
