RESOLUTION NO. 2026-19
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE
SOLANO COUNTY DOWNTOWN FAIRFIELD JUSTICE CAMPUS OFF-SITE SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the County of Solano is implementing the Solano County Campus Asset Protection Project, which requires relocation of existing sanitary sewer infrastructure that conflicts with planned improvements, including construction of off -site sanitary sewer improvements within the City of Fairfield’s publi c right -of-way along portions of Union Avenue, Clay Street, Texas Street, and Washington Street; and
WHEREAS, since the proposed work will be constructed within the City’s public right -of-way, execution of an Improvement Agreement is required to estab lish terms and conditions for construction, inspection, bonding, indemnification, acceptance of improvements, ownership and maintenance responsibilities, and coordination with the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield that certain Improvement Agreement with County of Solano for the Solano County Downtown Fairfield Justice Campus Off-Site Sanitary Sewer Improvements, subject to review and approval by the city attorney.
Section 2. The city manager, or designee, is authorized to execute any related documents and do all things necessary and proper to implement the above-mentioned agreement and intent of this Resolution.
