CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-24
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALLIANT INSURANCE
SERVICES AS THE BROKER FOR EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFIT PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, the City has traditionally utilized professional consultant services for employee benefits; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommend Alliant Insurance Services, which specializes in providing these services to government agencies; and
WHEREAS, contracting with Alliant Insurance Services will ensure continuity of services; and
WHEREAS, the City and Alliant Insurance Services wish to enter into a three-year contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the agreement between the City and Alliant Insurance Services for three years , November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2028, the total amount of the contract is $276,000 ($92,000 annually).
Section 2. The city manager is au thorized to execute all necessary agreements with Alliant Insurance Services to serve as the City’s broker for employee health and welfare programs and take other actions as necessary and proper to implement this resolution.
