CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-36
ACCEPTING THE 2025 ANNUAL REPORT ON THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, on December 3, 2024, the City Council adopted the Fairfield Forward 2050 Project, consisting of a comprehensive update of the City’s General Plan, development of a Climate Action Plan, and Environmental Impact Report (EIR); and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 65400(b) requires that Cities provide an annual report to the legislature on the status of implementation of the General Plan, including progress in meeting the City’s share of regional housing needs; and
WHEREAS, said Annual Report incorporates the Annual Progress Report as required by the California Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation and the Annual Element Progress Report as required by the California Department of Housing and Community Development; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15061(b) and 15378(a) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Annual Report is not a project and is therefore exempt from the requirements of CEQA.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council hereby accepts the 2025 Annual Report on the General Plan as attached hereto.
