CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-61
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO TEROCONS, INC.
FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE LEE BELL RESTROOM PROJECT
WHEREAS, many of the City’s public park restroom facilities are aging, outdated, and have been subject to vandalism, making maintenance increasingly challenging and cost-effective; and
WHEREAS, staff have determined that a prefabricated restroom building will meet City standards and identified Lee Bell Park as a location for installation; and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 2026, a bid opening took place for the purchase and delivery of one prefabricated restroom building and awarded a contract to Globe Engineering Development on February 3, 2026, through Resolution No. 2026-21; and
WHEREAS, a separate bid opening for the required sitework and installation of the project took place on March 25, 2026; and
WHEREAS staff have reviewed the bid documents from Terocons, Inc. and found them to be in order; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the council award the contract to Terocons, Inc. as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The plans and specifications are hereby approved.
Section 2. The city manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Terocons, Inc. for the Project in the amount of $228,500.
Section 2. The director of public works is hereby authorized to execute and administer change orders for an amount not to exceed the 10% contingency of the agreement value in the amount of $22,850.
Section 2. The city manager or de signee is hereby authorized to implement the above - mentioned contract.
