RESOLUTION NO. 2026-64
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE MODEL AIRPLANE CLUB LICENSE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND THE VACA VALLEY RADIO CONTROLLERS CLUB, INC.
WHEREAS, Vaca Valley Radio Controllers Club, Inc. (Vaca Valley) has been utilizing a portion of the City-owned property located off Cross Avenue since 1991 for the purpose of allowing its members to operate their model airplanes and other remote -controlled vehicles. The current License Agreement is set to expire on April 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Vaca Valley has requested to extend the license for an additional 12 months with one 12-month option to extend for a total of 2 years through April 30, 2028; and
WHEREAS, the City and Vaca Valley wish to enter into the proposed Model Airplane Club License Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the Model Airplane Club License Agreement by and between the City and Vaca Valley Radio Controllers Club, Inc. substantially in the form and content presented and attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. The council authorizes the city manager to do all things necessary to implement and execute the Model Airplane Club License Agreement attached as Exhibit A.
