CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-77
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT
AND JOINT ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND WOOLNER WORKS, LLC FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1336 WOOLNER AVENUE (ASSESSOR’S PARCEL NUMBER 0031-210-680)
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2026, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-49, adding the Transit Maintenance Facility Project (Project) to the Capital Budgett and updating the 5 -Year Capital Improvement Plan to include the Project; and
WHEREAS the scope of the Project includes acquiring real property to serve as additional space for bus storage and maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Woolner Works, LLC. is the owner of the property located at 1336 Woolner Avenue (Property); and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield wishes to acquire the Property and Woolner Works, LLC. wishes to sell the Property to the City of Fairfield; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield and Woolner Works, LLC. wish to enter into the proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions to acquire the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The council hereby approves the Purchase and Sale Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions by and between the City of Fairfield and Woolner Works, LLC. substantially in the form and content presented and attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. The city manager or designee is authorized to do all things necessary to implement and execute the Purchase and Sale Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions attached as Exhibit A.
