CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-86
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE OF SELF-CONTAINED
BREATHING APPARATUS (SCBA)/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WASHERS AND COMPRESSORS FOR FUTURE FIRE STATIONS 36 AND 39
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield is currently constructing two new fire stations (Station 36 and Station 39); and
WHEREAS, the equipment in question aligns with current and future standards in the fire service and is key to continued operational success for the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the SCBA/PPE washers and compressors must occur prior to construction completion; and
WHEREAS, the funds have been appropriately budgeted and planned for as part of the construction project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes sole sourcing of the desired specialized equipment for Stations 36 and 39 through Bauer Compressors for $94,515.32 per station or a combined total of up to $189,030.64 (Fund 254, Project Strings CPW010036-AD-40 & CPW010092-AD-40).
Section 2. The council hereby authorizes the city manager or designee to take all steps necessary and proper to implement this resolution.
