STATEMENT OF ISSUE
Mayor Catherine “Cat” Moy has requested City Council consider reimbursing her for the costs of obtaining legal counsel in defense of her residency status related to the quo warranto investigation.
DISCUSSION
In response to the investigation into Mayor Moy’s residency status conducted by outside legal counsel, Mr. Gary Winuk, Mayor Moy requested the council to consider reimbursing her for legal costs incurred. Mayor Moy retained the law firm Olson Remcho LLP to represent her in the investigation into her residency by Mr. Winuk. Mayor Moy incurred costs personally for retaining her lawyers and their subsequent work on her behalf. She has not confirmed an estimated cost for legal services.
