RESOLUTION NO. 2026-126
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WEST YOST ASSOCIATES FOR THE NORTH BAY REGIONAL WATER
TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING AN UPDATE TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 BUDGET
WHEREAS, on December 17, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-293 authorizing the city manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with West Yost Associates (West Yost) for a total amount not-to-exceed $1,993,100; and
WHEREAS, West Yost is willing and qualified to provide additional design services; and
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 will increase total PSA authorization by $ 304,100 and extend the term of the PSA by one year; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $304,100 was not allocated in the City’s fiscal year (FY) 2025- 2026 through 2029-2030 Capital Improvement Plan, thus requiring an adjustment of $304,100 to cover the increase in the design costs; and
WHEREAS, the revised appropriation constitutes an update to the FY 2025 -2026 budget approved pursuant to Resolution No. 2025-103.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed t o execute on behalf of City of Fairfield Amendment No. 1 to the PSA between the City of Fairfield and West Yost, increasing the authorization by $304,100 for an amount not-to-exceed $2,297,200.
Section 2. The council hereby approves a budget adjustment of $304,100 to increase the project budget for the NBR Water Treatment Plant Expansion project (CPW040114).
Section 3. The council hereby approves an increase in appropriations of $304,100 in North Bay Regional Fund (Fund 465) for project CPW040114.
Section 2. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned contract and amendments.
