RESOLUTION NO. 2026-128
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND NAPA SOLANO SANE/SART FOR THE PROVISION OF
SEXUAL ASSAULT EXAM SERVICES FOR THE FAIRFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Napa-Solano SANE/SART provides sexual assault evidentiary examinations of adults & minors; and
WHEREAS, On July 1, 2025, the City of Fairfield entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Napa-Solano SANE/SART for the provision of sexual assault exam services for all adult and child victims for the City of Fairfield; and
WHEREAS, the current term will end on June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, entering into an agreement with Napa-Solano SANE/SART will ensure continuity of services; and
WHEREAS, the City and Napa-Solano SANE/SART wish to enter into a one year agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The agreement between the City and Napa-Solano SANE/SART is entered into for a period of one year, expiring on June 30, 2027.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Fairfield, the proposed MOU between the City and Napa-Solano SANE/SART in an amount not- to-exceed $130,000.
Section 3. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute any necessary future amendments to the agreement.
