EMPLOYEE GOLFING POLICY
As of July 1, 2026

As a City of Fairfield owned facility, we have a fiscal responsibility to maximize revenues and maintain the golf course in excellent conditions for our guests at all times. Our priority is to our Guests and employee play as a benefit should never supersede that priority.

Rancho Solano and Paradise Valley Golf Courses extend to its employees the privilege of playing golf at the golf courses under certain conditions. All staff play must not displace or interfere with any paying golf guests at any time.

OVERVIEW
All Staff play & practice at Rancho Solano and Paradise Valley Golf Courses will adhere to the following policy:

The General Manager and Head Golf Professionals have final approval of all staff golf play privileges. The following rules are mandatory and are the minimum established requirements:

1. No employee tee-time reservations may be made in advance. The ability to play golf is based on available tee-times on the day of play.
a. Employees will check in with the Pro Shop Attendant to get on the waitlist for play.
b. Employees cannot be apart of a paying guest’s reservation and receive complimentary play. The employee will be charged the appropriate fee at that time.
i. Example 1: Jane Smith books a tee time for four golfers which includes employee Joe, Joe would have to pay the appropriate green fee to play with Jane’s group.
ii. Example 2: Jane Smith books a tee time for two golfers. On the day of play, the other spots in the tee time are not reserved. Employee Joe is on the waitlist for play and can join Jane’s tee time as a third golfer for complementary play.

2. Golf carts will be available at a $5 fee per employee. It is expected that an employee will share a cart with another golfer.

3. Employees playing in an Outing, Tournament, Group Play, or any organized play with a contracted price with the golf course, will pay the contracted fee.

4. All employees must first seek approval from their respective Department Heads before requesting tee-times from the golf management staff.

5. The golf course must be deemed open for play. (No playing prior to the first tee time or during closed conditions, unless approved by the Head Golf Professional or the General Manager.)

6. All staff must register and obtain a complimentary golf receipt from the golf shop to present to the starter before entering the golf course.

7. No staff member is allowed to consume alcohol on the Golf premises, whether working or not per KemperSports Policy.

8. Any significant damage caused to the golf course or negligent use of equipment by the employee or their guests is the responsibility of the employee.

GENERAL RULES

1. Determining whether the staff play will interfere with the play of our fee paying guests is at the sole discretion of the golf operations “Manager on Duty” , Head Golf Professional, or General Manager.

2. Interfering with play includes: the use of a golf cart necessary for the operations, while guests are waiting for carts, over-crowding conditions on the course, use of the practice facility during peak times or expecting potentially salable tee times.

3. General staff play will be limited to only Monday – Thursday tee-times and Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 2pm.

4. Each staffer must leave the golf course in the appropriate condition how they find it and make improvements, if possible. (Pick up trash and tees, fix extra ball marks, repair divots, repair any minor damages, etc).
