RESOLUTION NO. 2026-163
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE SOLANO
EXPRESS INTERCITY TRANSIT FUNDING AND COST-SHARING AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG
THE SOLANO TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY, THE COUNTY OF SOLANO, SOLANO COUNTY
TRANSIT, THE CITY OF DIXON, THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD, THE CITY OF SUISUN CITY, AND THE
CITY OF VACAVILLE
WHEREAS, Solano Express provides intercity and inter -regional bus services connecting cities within Solano County to UC Davis and the El Cerrito del Norte and Walnut Creek BART stations ; and
WHEREAS, the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) has sponsored, and other jurisdictions have joined, the Intercity Transit Funding Working Group (ITFWG) to facilitate shared funding of Solano Express transit services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the City of Fairfield’s participation in the Intercity Funding and Cost Sharing Agreement (Solano Express) By and Among the Solano Transportation Authority, the County of Solano, the City of Fairfield, the City of Suisun City, and the City of Vacaville (Agreement) for fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026 through Resolution No. 2025-150; and
WHEREAS, the ITFWG has negotiated the First Amendment to the Agreement for FY 2026-2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the amendment to the Agreement, by which the City of Fairfield will contribute $547,146 in Transportation Development Act funding.
Section 2. The city manager, director of public works, the transportation manager, or designee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned amendment.
