CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-168
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE JOINT USE LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND THE FAIRFIELD-SUISUN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON GULF ROAD (ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER 170-010-510)
WHEREAS, the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District ( FSUSD) is the owner of the 2-acre parcel located on Gulf Road and known as Assessor Parcel Number 0170-010-510 (Property); and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield wishes to lease the Property from FSUSD to expand a future park development; and
WHEREAS, FSUSD wishes to lease the Property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City and FSUSD wish to enter into the Proposed Joint Use Lease Agreement to lease the Property for $500,000 for a term of 99 years.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The Joint Use Lease Agreement by and between the City of Fairfield and the Fairfield- Suisun Unified School District substantially in the form attached, is hereby approved, subject to any clerical or clarifying changes consistent with the attached report and approved by the city attorney.
Section 2. The city manager , or designee, is hereby authorized to execute the Joint Use Lease Agreement and take all steps to implement.
