RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adopt resolution.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
Touchstone Golf Foundation is dissolving and the volunteer program at the golf courses will terminate. Staff seek approval to develop and implement a new city volunteer program specific for volunteer services at Rancho Solano and Paradise Valley golf courses.
DISCUSSION
At the City Council meetings held on July 7 and August 4, 2026, staff provided comprehensive information relating to the potential implementation of a city -managed Volunteer Program for services at the City’s two golf courses. The council reviewed recommended options for defining benefits for volunteer services. After review and discussion, Council directed staff to revise and return to council the proposed Resolution 2026-156 with one slight adjustment to include a limit of 30 volunteers per course to the policy outlining benefits of the Program.
