CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL:
A. 11:00 A.M. Call To Order/Roll Call:
The Special City Council meeting was held at the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center at 15556 Summit Avenue, Fontana, CA 92336, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Mayor Warren called the meeting to order at 11:20 a.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Mayor Warren, Mayor Pro Tem Garcia, Council Members Cothran, Roberts, and Sandoval.
Absent: None
City Clerk McClellan Key and City Treasurer Koehler-Brooks were also in attendance.
INVOCATION/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
A. Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance:
Following the invocation led by Council Member Roberts, the pledge of allegiance was led by Mayor Warren.
PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS:
A. Public Communications
There were no public communications received.
WORKSHOP:
A. City Council Workshop
1. Goal Setting Workshop
The City's Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives were discussed.
Discussion ensued on the Council goals as following:
1. Improve Public Safety
2. Operate in a Businesslike Manner
3. Promote Economic Development
4. Increase Citizen Involvement
5. Practice Sound Fiscal Management
6. Provide a Diverse Range of Housing Types and Levels of Affordability while Addressing Homelessness in the Community
7. Create and maintain a Dynamic Team
8. Concentrate on Inter-governmental relations
9. Enhance the Local environment for future generations and create a healthy economic and environmental future
10. Invest in the City's infrastructure

Mayor Warren adjourned the meeting at 3:10 p.m. to the next Regular City Council Meeting on April 26, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the Grover W. Taylor Council Chambers located at 8353 Sierra Avenue, Fontana, California.
