A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA
ADOPTING THE UPDATED SALARY TABLES FOR THE FONTANA POLICE
MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION BARGAINING GROUP AND THE EXECUTIVE GROUP
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fontana has adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations which incorporate the City’s Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Classification and Compensation Plan is not a static plan and requires revision to reflect organizational changes and needs; and WHEREAS, the City has created a side letter agreement which will serve as an addendum to the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Fontana Police Management Association (PMA) , which update the terms and compensation levels for this groups; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police’s employment contract includes a provision that states, “at no point shall Employee’s [Chief of Police] rate of pay fall below 30% over that of his subordinate Captains.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fontana, to adopt the updated salary tables for the Fontana Police Management Association and the Executive Group , including increasing the Chief of Police’s salary range to $268,399.04.
