SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF FONTANA
AND
FONTANA POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
The City of Fontana (“City”) and the Fontana Police Management Association (“Association”) hereby agree to modify their Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) set to expire on June 30, 2024, for the purpose of memorializing an increase to the monthly contribution amount that the City will make towards the Retiree Medical Trust Fund for eligible employees. This change is a result of a contractual agreement between the City and the Fontana Police Officers’ Association (“POA”) that is effective July 30, 2022, as follows:
1. ARTICLE XVI: RETIREMENT BENEFITS, SECTION G is hereby amended to address changes to the monthly contribution amount, effective July 30, 2022:
G. Retiree Medical Trust Fund
Effective the first pay period in July 2009, all employees represented by the Association hired after June 30, 1990 who are not eligible for retiree benefits as described above will receive a monthly payment into a mutually agreed upon Retiree Medical Trus t Fund.
Effective July 30, 2022 , the City’s monthly contribution amount will be $425 per employee. The Association agrees that the City’s contribution will not be increased for five (5) years (i.e. the amount can be negotiated following July 1, 2024) , except where necessary to match Police Officer’s Association (“POA”) contribution increases. The parties acknowledge that it is their intent to maintain the same contribution levels for both the Associ ation and the POA.

2. Except as modified above, the terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in effect as provided therein.
