RESOLUTION NO. 2022-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING TO RECOGNIZE AUGUST 2, 2022, AS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT WHEREAS, National Night Out will be held on August 2, 2022; and WHEREAS, National Night Out is “America’s National Night Out Against Crime”; and WHEREAS, , National Night Out has become a civic tradition that serves the purpose of heightening crime and drug abuse prevention awareness; and WHEREAS, , National Night Out generates support for and participation in local anti-crime programs and strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community relations; and WHEREAS, , Americans across the nation gather on National Night Out to send a strong message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and will fight back against crime; and WHEREAS, , National Night Out provides the opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other better and restore trust in one another while having fun.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Acquanetta Warren, along with the city council of the City of Fontana, supports National Night Out on August 2, 2022, and encourages every citizen of Fontana to take personal responsibility by participating in the National Night Out event held at Miller Park Amphitheater hosted by the Fontana Police Department.
