Dear Mr. Sorensen,
Per your request, we are proposing additional civil engineering services for the Jurupa Avenue medians project in the City of Fontana. We understand that the City has decided to improve the existing pavement from Hemlock Avenue to Calabash Avenue. This area will receive a 2-inch grind and overlay. In addition the City has decided to extend the pavement improvements from Calabash Avenue to Mulberry Avenue.
This work will include additional street striping plans for the proposed pavement improvements along Jurupa Avenue. The additional scope for this effort will require additional meetings and coordination.
We will attend 2 additional conference call / virtual meetings and coordinate additional design activities.
Our civil engineer NV5 will obtain and review available information pertinent to the project, such as the existing as-built plans. NV5 will also conduct additional survey from Calabash Avenue to Mulberry Avenue as needed. This will include additional topographic survey to establish vertical controls. Our team will provide preliminary and final pavement improvement plans, additional specifications, and additional cost estimating for this scope.
