Dear Mr. Kim:
Fenagh Engineering and Testing (Fenagh) appreciates the opportunity to be part of the City’s Construction Team for the Fire Station #81 project.
As you know, the need for our inspection and testing services are based on the General Contractor’s construction schedule, manpower loading and methods of construction as well as site conditions. This project required significantly more hours for compaction testing and masonry inspections. The project also required additional services beyond what was identified in the bid proposal, including additional professional engineering services related to the mitigation of oversize rock within the subgrade, structural steel/welding shop inspections, and structural sheer wall inspections.
As such, we expended more hours that were budgeted by the project te am and s o we req uest an augmentation to our Task Order, increasing the amount by $58,901.52 for a total of $125,756.52 to cover those services render ed to dat e and those anticipated to complete the project . Please refer to the accompanying spreadsheet that details the costs per line item.
