Dear Assemblymember Ramos:
On April 11, 2023, the Fontana City Council formally voted to support your legislation AB 1748, which would allow the County of Riverside, the County of San Bernardino, and any of the cities within those counties the ability to approve of a development or the expansion of a logistics business if these agencies impose a minimum setback of 300 feet from a sensitive receptor. As stated by State Attorney General Rob Bonta, the City of Fontana has already adopted the most stringent environmental standards in California for new warehouse projects. We are proud to serve as a model for other cities across the state and the Inland Empire. The logistics industry is the backbone of Southern California’s economy, and we greatly appreciate collaborating with your office on this important issue.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact the city at (909) 350-7606.
Sincerely,
[Fontana City Council Member Names and Signatures]
