A PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Appeal (APL) No. 23-001/Master Case No. 20-083
A request by Adams Broadwell Joseph and Cardozo, on behalf of California Allied For A Responsible Economy (“The Appellant”) to appeal the Planning Commission’s decision on January 17, 2023, which approved Master Case No. 20-083 for Tentative Parcel Map No. 20464 (TPM No. 20-021), Variance No. 22-001, Conditional Use Permit No. 20-025, Conditional Use Permit No. 22-019, Conditional Use Permit No. 22-028, and Design Review No. 20-031 along with the adoption of an Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration, and Mitigation, Monitoring, and Reporting Program for the development of commercial retail center to include a banquet hall, dual branded hotel, restaurant/retail building, and a drive-through restaurant (In-n-out) on an approximately 8.9 adjusted gross acre site on the northwest corner of South Highland Avenue and Citrus Avenue(APNS: 0228 -301-01 through - 08, 0228-310-20, -21, -22, -23, 0228-310-33 through -49, -51, and 52).
Environmental
Determination:
An Initial Study/Mitigated Negative
Declaration (IS/MND) has been
prepared for this project in accordance
with Section 15072 of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
and Section 6.04 of the 2019 City of
Fontana Local Guidelines for
Implementing t he CEQA. Based on
the information in the IS/MND, all
significant impacts anticipated as a
result of project implementation would
be less than with mitigation
incorporated, and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) was prepared for the Planni ng Commission’s consideration; therefore, a Notice of Determination has been prepared.
