A PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Master Case No. 24-019 and Municipal Code Amendment No. 24-001: Update to the City of Fontana Municipal Code to amend to Chapter 30 (Zoning and Development Code). The Chapter 30 amendments include removal of language that references the Development Advisory Board (DAB), correction of the noticing requirements within the Tentative Parcel Map and Tentative Tract Map section, removal of maximum lot dimensions in the Form Based Code, addition of language regarding the size of the common and public open space in the Form Based Code, addition of language to clarify amenities that can be constructed in the Form Based Code, modification of the language of the Accessory Dwelling Units and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units section, and removal of certain broad use categories in the permitted uses table in the industrial zoning districts.
Environmental Determination:
This project qualifies for a categorical exemption pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Sections 15060(c), 15061(B)(3) (the common-sense exemption), and 15378 and Sections No. 3.01, 3.22, and 10.59 of the 2019 Local Guidelines for Implementing CEQA.
