RESOLUTION NO. 2024 –
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA AUTHORIZING TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONCRETE MAINTENANCE PROJECT MAP GRID 19 (PW-24-133-SB).
WHEREAS, Fontana Municipal Code Section 10-147(b) provides that an informal bidding procedures for Public projects, as defined public project procedures by the Act and in accordance with the limits listed in Public Contract Code 22032, may be let to contract by informal procedures as set forth in Public Contracts Code 22032; and WHEREAS, Public Contract Code 220234(d) allows the governing body of the public agency may, adoption of a resolution by a four-fifths vote, award the contract, at two hundred twelve thousand, five hundred dollars ($212,500) or less, to the lowest responsible bidder, if it determines the cost estimate of the public agency was reasonable; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is recommending the award a contract to MAJ Engineering of Chino Hills, CA for said public works concreate project map grid 19 in the amount of $210,527.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fontana, California, that the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to award said contract as listed above.
EFFECTIVE DATE: September 24, 2024.
