RESOLUTION NO. 2024-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A STANDARD AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FRANCHISE TAC BOARD AND THE CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY’S PARTICIPATION IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SHARING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Fontana administers a Business Tax Program; and WHEREAS, the Franchise Tax Board through the Local Government Sharing Program will enhance the City of Fontana Business License Tax Program; and WHEREAS, the information from the Franchise Tax Board will permit the City of Fontana to identify potential unrealized Business License Tax revenue from the businesses that are not in compliance with Chapter 15 of the Fontana Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fontana as follows:
That the City Manager is authorized to execute the necessary contract with the Franchise Tax Board Agreement #107999 to enable the City of Fontana to participate in the Local Government Sharing Program.
