RESOLUTION NO. 2026-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FONTANA APPOINTING MAYOR WARREN AS THE CITY’S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE SAN BERNARDINO REGIONAL HOUSING TRUST (SBRHT) BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AS REFERENCED IN THE AGENDA TITLE AND RECOMMENDED ACTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fontana approved participation in the San Bernardino Regional Housing Trust (SBRHT) through a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to support regional housing initiatives; and WHEREAS, the SBRHT Joint Powers Authority requires each member agency to appoint one locally elected official to serve on its Board of Directors; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is responsible for establishing policies, funding priorities, and overseeing implementation of programs that support affordable housing throughout the region; and WHEREAS, appointing a representative ensures the City of Fontana maintains a direct role in regional housing policy and funding decisions; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Mayor Warren to serve as the City’s representative on the SBRHT Board of Directors.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fontana, California as follows:
Section 1. Appointment. Mayor Warren is hereby appointed as the City of Fontana’s representative to the San Bernardino Regional Housing Trust (SBRHT) Board of Directors.
Section 2. Implementation. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all action necessary to implement this Resolution.
Section 3. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution or the application of any such provision to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Resolution that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are severable. The City Council declares that it would have adopted this Resolution irrespective of the invalidity of any particular portion of this Resolution.
Section 6. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 7. Custodian of Records. The documents and materials that constitute the record of proceedings on which this Resolution is based are located at the City Clerk’s office located at 16860 Valencia Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335. The custodian of records is the City Clerk.
