City Council,
I read your proposed letter in opposition to AB 2011. Frankly, it seems disingenuous because of all the references to local planning respecting public input and creating better projects. Do you realize this bill is intended to remove barriers to the development of affordable housing, including removing CEQA compliance as a barrier because there would no longer be a local discretionary review for covered affordable housing projects? Whomever wrote this draft letter certainly has a sense of humor...
