Fort Bragg City Council Goal Setting Retreat
3/1/23
Priority Areas & Goals
During its Goal Setting Retreat on 3/1/23, the Fort Bragg City Council engaged in a “2040 Vision” brainstorm, during which Council members described their vision for Fort Bragg in 2040 after they have achieved success in their work. All of the vision items fell into four top priority areas: Jobs/Industry, Quality of Life, Housing and Infrastructure. Underpinning these priority areas are the shared themes of enhancing local self-sufficiency and supporting healthy ecosystems.

Council members then brainstormed and prioritized strategic goals for each of the focus areas, answering the question, “what can we do in the next 3-5 years to move Fort Bragg toward your 2040 vision?” The strategic goals are included below, prioritized by the highest number of “dot-votes” received per item. This list will inform the City Manager’s operational plans and budgeting process, and will provide direction for City staff.
