Dear Mr. Norvell,
My name is Rachel Olvera and I wanted to share my concerns with you regarding the proposed fee increases by CV Star. As a proud parent of a child in the Mendocino Coast Sea Dragon Team for 8 years I have seen firsthand the positive impact of swimming on my daughter's life. It has provided her with a wonderful opportunity to exercise, learn teamwork, and grow physically and mentally.

Being a low-income family, the proposed increment in rental fees from $8.50 to $13 per hour for swimming lanes rental at CV Star would pose a great challenge for us to continue participating in this beloved sport, as MCSD team fees would also increase in cost.

Competitive swimming is already an expensive sport, and this additional burden would make it even more difficult for families like ours to afford it.

Please take into consideration the financial impact that this fee increase would have on lowincome families and vote no on the proposed increases. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Sincerely,
Rachel Olvera
