Hi Bernie, Juliana, just some thoughts before this if finalized, Perhaps a review date, this started out at 50k now 150k, which if the 3 years is in play I think reasonable now anyway.
What if a property transfers? Three years start again or still in play, would be a disclosure issue for us, so City would need to give something to share with a new buyer.
What would this do for say 511 Cypress? Condo project. Sprinkle all in that building? Separate ownership, not sure they could enter the unit.
The 75k prevented an addition to the law office next door, as I would have had to sprinkle the entire structure, perhaps the addition, or like was mentioned last night other than sprinklers.
This building is not very close to others, as this all started with the CBD area. Thinking the whole downtown would burn.
Also, I don’t know if the downtown could be protected with high mounted massive spray systems, to protect the entire area. Much cheaper and would not be as costly and would work in a big fire.
Interior sprinklers are the first step to stop a fire, and the last if the fire comes in from cinders etc. from outside. Which is the big concern in this era.
Thank you
Paul Clark
