RESOLUTION NO. ___-2024
RESOLUTION OF THE FORT BRAGG CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE FORT BRAGG-MENDOCINO COAST HISTORICAL SOCIETY WHEREAS, the City of Fort Bragg is the owner of the building commonly known as the old City Recreation Gym, located at 416 North Franklin Street, Fort Bragg California; and WHEREAS, the City entered into a lease agreement with the Mendocino Coast Historical Society for office space in the old City Recreation Gym initially in April 2011; and WHEREAS, the most current lease between the City and Mendocino Coast Historical Society for office space in the old City Recreation Gym expired in May 2023; and WHEREAS, the Historical Society desires to continue the lease agreement with the City for the office space and archival storage for an additional five years; and WHEREAS, this is not subject to the Surplus Land Act because it is not a lease of land on which demolition or redevelopment will occur.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT BRAGG FINDS, DETERMINES, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The foregoing Recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein as findings and determinations.
Furthermore, the Fort Bragg City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute a 5-year lease agreement with the Fort Bragg-Mendocino Coast Historical Society.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilmember ________, seconded by Councilmember ________, and passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg held on the 8th day of January 2024, by the following vote:
