The City of Fort Bragg appoints an individual to the Mendocino County Library Advisory Board. The Library Advisory Board plays an important role in development of quality improvements in the local library branches by exposing the membership to changes and innovations in the library world. This will be a two year appointment. Dates of Term: November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2021.

Please allow me to introduce myself as an enthusiastic lifetime user of the Public Library System and a multi generation, born and raised, Mendocino County Citizen. My name is Linda Thornquist Stumpf. I have been asked, by former 10yr LAB Member Janice Marcell, if I would consider serving as the Fort Bragg Library Advisory Board representative.
I have a background in Hospital and Healthcare Administration as well as patient care. I served as Director of Public Relations and Marketing in Hospital and Healthcare Settings. Held a Real Estate License, Insurance License and three different Healthcare Licenses. Served as a civilian Archaeologist for the Navy and was Commissioner of Archaeology for Mendocino County. Worked for Indian Health in Ukiah and Mendocino Coast Clinics in Fort Bragg. Was a representative of an NGO attending the United Nations "Decade of Women" conferences in Denmark and the world conference in Nairobi. These two conferences involved traveling to many countries studying both Women's and Children's issues. I served the Los Angeles District PTA on the Legislative Committee reviewing State and Federal Laws and their effect on schools. Since retirement in 2011 | volunteered 7 years for Hospice in home settings until Covid. I am actively involved and have held State and local positions in a Women's Service organization since joining in February 2020.
I more recently was asked, and became a member of the FFBL (Friends of the Fort Bragg Library) Board.
